  • If traditional framing is something you’ve always been drawn to this is the place to start (or continue) your adventure, it lit a fire in me and I couldn’t be anymore grateful.

Sweetwater Barn - April 26

Our first run of traditional timber framing workshops were an amazing success with 30 participants traveling from all over Australia to join us in Sweetewater Barn for our Fundamentals course.

Each course ran for 3 days and covered everything from tree selection, milling, seasoning, timber species, frame design, joinery layout, hand cutting joinery, making timber pegs and finishing a full cross section of frame (Bent).

We were lucky enough to have Bevan from Beam & Brace travel down from Byron Bay as well as Ben & Renata from 35 south Building Company traveling up from Adelaide to Guest instruct over the 3 courses.

The frame built during the workshops has been sold to a local family and will be used as a small cabin home.
